Homelea Respite Care
Everyone needs a break sometimes, even from those they love passionately and want the best for. That includes someone you are caring for who is living with dementia – they may need a little respite from you.
Besides that, the rest you’ll get will ensure you are in the best possible shape to continue to provide the care your loved one needs. it’s a time to revitalise your mind and recharge your batteries.
One of the wonderful things about respite care at Homelea is that our residents comes to view it as a second home. It can range from short-term respite lasting a few days or a weekend, to a week or longer – whatever you need. Some residents come to convalesce after sometime in hospital and others simply to give carers that much need break.
Respite care can also be a useful way for potential residents to try us out before committing to moving in full-time. They can see how they feel and would manage the transition. Preparation is just as thorough and careful as they are when residents are about to make a full move. We plan with attention to detail to make their stay at Homelea as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
In addition, choosing respite care in East Sussex means you don’t have to far too travel if you’re already local. We’re easily reached from both the M20 and M23 so even if you live farther afield we think you will find Homelea a great choice for accessible respite care.
